Activity association end date relationship with Preventive maintenance end date

Hi All,

At present , if any activity association has given future end date and when we add that activity to an PM Schedule which has multiple activity, Oracle automatically end date's the PM also to that date. Why the PM schedule is getting end dated when it has other activity associated to it. Is it possible to switch off the functionality.
