Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. This means that users with generic domains (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, and others) will no longer be granted access to the discussion forums and ideas labs. If this policy affects you, act now to change the email address that is associated with your Oracle (and community) account. During patching please confirm your OPATCH version is the same on both nodes for GI

We have been investigating some failed patching lately which appears to be due a few factors.

Patching GI fails even if oakcli shows all components were successfully patched
Closer inspection of the difference between the two nodes show that each GI home has a different opatch version in place

The ODA provides the opatch version, so we are trying to confirm how the same patch version is not being applied on both nodes.

We have found that this does not happen for every configuration and should have the working resolution provided shortly.
