WebLogic upgrade business case

Hi everyone.

We are currently on WebLogic 10.3.4 and thinking about upgrade to WL 12c. Despite the fact that grace period for WL 10.3.4 ended in May 2012 (error correction policy), the management however thinks we are still okay as Premier Support for WL 10.3.4 will expire in Dec 2018.

I would probably think the same too if not for too many incidents on the current version which is very time wasting.

Has anyone been in a similar situation and submitted a successful business case for upgrade? What words and logic did you use?
