Converting existing Org to Process Enabled

Hi,

Currently we have a discrete inventory Org with Average costing wherein the Sales transaction's(OM & Shipping) are being processed.

Can I convert the same Org to "Process enabled" by checking "Process Manufacturing Enabled" and use set it up for product development and Execution.

Or Better to create a separate new  "Process Manufacturing Enabled" Org to process product development and Execution.

Please advise.
