RMAN backups slower after moving from vxfs to zfs backup location

We have moved our production 11.5.10.2 E-Business database and concurrent manager/reporting tier from Vertias to ZFS. We are currently seeing rman backup times increased approximately 3 times what they were prior to the ZFS implementation. This seems to be impacting other jobs that run in the E-Business environment as well.

The filesystem the rman backups are written to used to be a vxfs LOFS to the global, but is now zfs with the zone controlling the dataset. The storage is disk for the rman backup location and the database is on EMC XtremIO storage. The recordsize for the database files is 8k and the archive and redo logs are on filesystems with a 128k record size.

Howdy, Stranger!
