catbundle before Binary Patch apply

Hi,

I have a query. Can we have catbundle script executed before applying the patch on the binaries and what is the impact  if we do so.

Say the following scenario.

1. Apply CPU on grid and db home binaries on Standby

2. Switchover the standby and make it as primary

3. Apply catbundle on new primary (old standby)

4. apply CPU on the new standby ( old primary) DB and grid home
