The 'javascript enabled' buttons in the Apex 5 application are not working corectly...

All javascript enabled buttons in the Apex 5 application are not working correctly. Each time the button is clicked it produces a 404 not found error. The only way to fix the error is to change the button type from 'javascript enabled 'to 'normal'. Has anyone encountered this issue?
