Cannot Terminate Contract if the Contract Amount is greater than $0

We do not use contracts for billing, so frankly I am not familiar with the Receivable set ups that may be related to this. What I am finding on our new instance of 12.2.5 (we are in testing prior to implementation) is that whether I am using a migrated or newly create contracts if the Contracts value is 0 I am able to Terminate the contract, however, if the contract amount if greater than 0 I receive an error:

"Estimated tax cannot be calculated because a default transaction type was not found for the contract. You must have a valid default transaction type defined for the <XXX> operating unit or select a valid transaction type on the contract header. Termination Process Failed"
