Flex Accounting for sales and purchasing

We want to create a branch that is composed of a company and physical location code.  With flex accounting we want to add a product group to the branch.  If we use the branch (F4211 MCU) and the product group (F4102 SHCN) the overall length of the data items exceeds 12.  Our branch will be five chracters in length.  The product group will be three characters.  The total length of the flexed BU will be 8 characters.  Flex accounting setup presents a warning message about the length of the two fields.  Will the flex accounting process function correctly with the
