Impact of Limited versus Standard in Data Quality guide

Customer reviewed the Data Quality Admin guide and wants to know the following

I can see that we are following these recommendations however the document targets more SDQ (Siebel) as opposed to EDQ.

One Example is "Key Type" recommendation saying it should be set to to "Limited" and currently it is set as 'Standard'. From the data quality perspective what are we losing by setting this to 'Limited'?
