Unable to update $CLASSPATH and $AF_CLASSPATH in R12.2.5

Hi--

We need help and instructions on adding the path for environment variables $CLASSPATH and $AF_CLASSPATH in R12.2.5 as per (  Doc ID 2053130.1  ) .

We had updated manually for both variables, however when we bounce changes are not getting reflected.

Is there any other way to update above variables in advars.env.

Please let me know for additional information.
