How to Secure connections between Oracle EBS Mid Tier and Oracle EBS Database

Hi Team,

We are re-designing our EBS Architecture.

How we can secure EBS Mid Tier and Database Tier connections. In order to have secured https request we can implement SSL which will secure connections b/w Client Tier & Mid Tier. So what are the Oracle recommendations on securing request b/w EBS Middle Tier and and Database Tier in a Multi Node Environment (2 Node Apps & 2 Node RAC DB)

Also would like to know, through which service Middle Tier is getting connected to Database Tier and how secured it is ? Is it OracleNet Service ?
