Changing of GL period Dates during the year

Hi,

We want to check the scenario...We have a calendar starting 01-JAN-2016 and ending on 31-DEC-2016.. We have 12 Regular and 1 Adjustment periods

P01-16 starts on 01-JAN-2016, and P12-16 ends on 31 DEC 2016 and also adjustment period starts on 31 DEC 2016 and ends on 31 DEC 2016.

Since we have a business requirement to change the calendar P12-16 to be ended on 24-DEC-2016 and want to close the period on 24 th DEC 2016 along with sub leder periods.

We need to clarification for the below:

1) Is it possible to amend a period duration(dates) in between an year.

2) Is it possible to modify the period P12-16 end date as 24 DEC 2016 and modify the P13-16(Adjustemnt perod) effective date from 25 DEC 16 to 31 DEC 16 instead of existing which starts and ends on 31 DEC 16.
