Can we have 3 node RAC 2 on physical server (bare metal) and 1 on Virtual Machine

Currently we have 2 Node RAC on physical server (bare metal). 

Team wanted to add one more node (to isolate the load for a different business entity) but they are wondering if node can be on Virtual Machine. 

Both Physical server and Virtual Machine is going to have same OS and Version.

Is this doable?  If so what kind of issues are we going to have once setup?

Please let me know if you have any white papers, documents or URLs that address this.
