ODA Lite: how to validate NVMe disks

edited Nov 14, 2016 5:42AM in Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) (MOSC) 3 commentsAnswered

Hi,

When I validate (health check) the NVMe disks of ODA S/M, I could not check it because smartctl seemed not to support NVD.(see below)

How do you judge a NVMe disk status is failure for the part replacement?

Or is  another health check commad going to be prepared in the next release?

[root@odax6s redo]# smartctl -H /dev/nvme0n1

smartctl 5.43 2012-06-30 r3573 [x86_64-linux-2.6.39-400.276.1.el6uek.x86_64] (local build)

/dev/nvme0n1: Unable to detect device type

Smartctl: please specify device type with the -d option.

Howdy, Stranger!
