Customer PO Number On Sales Order Not Allowing Delete

We are on Version 9.2, tools release 9.2 - we are unable to delete the purchase order number from P4210 - after you delete and click "save" it will re-populate the purchase order number. Has anyone seen this happen?  is there a fix?
