Why can't the R14110 be used to convert balances for the AA ledger from a legacy system?

Why can't the R14110 be used to convert balances for the AA ledger from a legacy system?

We have a need to bring in the balances from a legacy system, and need the beginning balances for the year. When I tested entering a batch in F0902Z1 and then running the batch processor, i got the error, "Ledger Type Invalid",

Tickler Date  : 10/28/2016

Subject       : Error: Ledger Type Invalid

CAUSE . . . .  Ledger Type entered was "AA", "AZ", or "CA".  Amounts can not be

uploaded to these ledger types.

RESOLUTION . . Enter a Ledger Type that is not "AA", "AZ", or "CA".
