Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. I need to ask about patching Oracle database.

I have two SID with one oracle home and i need to apply database patch.

is the patch applied per SID or per the Oracle home?

and if it's per SID , how to set the SID to apply the patch on it?
