What is the reason for Quotation status to become "offer expired"? How can I disable this expire dat

We have a quotation which has changed to "offer expired" status. We cannot cancel the order lines. We need to know how to disable expiring the Sales orders. From where can I set the offer expiration date? Is this date calculated based on the transaction type of the workflow?
