Is there a way to manually add Parent Item Revision Level to the BOM?

We would like to be able to populate the Item Revision Level of the parent and component items on the BOM but we do not want to implement the ECO module to do so.  It appears that you can manually populate the Component Revision Level on the BOM but the Parent Revision Level is grayed out (header section on P3002).
