How to update status of First leg shipment in multi leg shipment?

We are having scenario as  below for multi leg shipment. The client requirement

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The client requirement

1) Leg 1  --- Source A to Destination B  (Once leg is completed, shipment status should be updated

2)  Leg 2  Source B to Destination C.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

in above case, once leg 1 is completed.How will  Shipper update Leg 1 (Shipment) in OTM.  (like completed/closed any status that will tell me that Shipment is received at B. Also how will he update Leg 2 Shipment is started ?
