Adjustments for unapplied CM are creating without Event IDs in AR

We went live as of August with Oracle. Since closing of Aug., we had issue of closing AR because of an unposted transaction.  The reason an event ID was not created.  Is there anything I could do or setup to prevent this of happening again, especially for our next period closed?   I have a feeling this will happen again.
