Advanced Search Formatting - Showing Approvers Pending Their Approval

I have gotten several requests to add the workflow tab, specifically the pending approvers/approvers fields from the workflow tab, but have not found a way that these fields can be made available to run these types of searches. Is there a way to allow advanced searches to show approvers in an exported report or search?
