Self Service Phone Number Formatting

Self Service Phone Number Formatting:  With EBS Self Service Phone Numbers being free form text, we are experiencing challenges with managing the various phone number formats on backend processes (vendor files and other 3rd party apps).  Are there 3rd party apps that integrate with EBS to manage phone number formatting and validaton?  I would be curious to know how other users of EBS manage phone number formatting.
