Module Selection question

Can we use *only* Service Contracts module to generate AR invoices/Bills? (of course Oracle Inventory, AR and Advanced Pricing are considered)

Business case: Our company installs equipments, products etc at customer sites. Once installation is done and services are enabled, We are planning to Create Service contracts in Oracle and bill AR invoice each month for their Usage. There will be one time Charges (Non-recurring) and also monthly usage charges (Recurring) for this contract period.

We don't want Order Management and Install base modules to implemented. Can we getaway without OM? If so, what Service types are we limited to among Usage, Subscription, Service, Warrenty? We understand some of these type must have OM module, true?
