Impact of SLA post-upgrade patch on Asst

HI

After upgrade from 11i R12, Asset application is also part of SLA . SLA upgrade by default is 6 month or Current Fiscal Year.

We are not sure what is the impact on Asset module if not applying SLA post upgrade patch, which type of transaction would not be able to account for. Like Retirement of Old Asset ?

And in that case how we would close our FA period.
