Connecting to existing Oracle database

I am currently standing up a new Webcenter Content server 11.1.1.9.  During the initial config.sh process, I pointed to our Oracle database (oradb1 we will call it), that has a copy of all my content (metadata, etc) from my 10g instance.  My DBA said he just did a databae copy, then upgraded the database in place.

So my question is how do I get my Content server to connect to that database so I can include all my existing content?  I am also going to need to 'copy' all the websites currently managed on 10g over to the 11g instance.  I tried to do a configuration bundle download out of 10g but am received errors when I try to download it through the admin screens.
