which accrual formula to be used for calculating accruals between years

Hi ,

Currently , we are calculating the accruals for 1 year period. i.e 01-Jan-2016 to 31-Dec-2016.Now the client wants the accruals to be calculated between years. i.e from 06-Jan-2016 to 6-Jan-2017. (1 year period)

We would like to know , which seeded accrual formula to be used to achieve this and which Payroll Balance Reset Date  to be checked in the accrual plan.

  Any feedback would be highly appreciated.
