Demantra 12.2.4 login hangs after workbench starts to load

We are experiencing an issue where after login, we get a white screen and the workbench fails to fully load.   IE locks up and we have to kill it and try to log in again.   It can sometimes take several times to have the workbench load properly.   Once in, we don't typically experience any other issues.  
We have checked and tried adjusting many IE and Java settings, but still have issue. 

Anyone else experience this and have any suggestions?
