PeopleSoft AM creating entries to closed Project ID's

We have 'Assets' that are coded to a Project ID.   Subsequent to the closing of the project, those assets continue to create depreciation entries, which of course can not be posted to the GL due to the Project being marked as 'Closed'.

What is the solution here.  Both the Project being closed and the depreciation entries continuing for years are legitimate to our business.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
