Advance preference for selecting line level adjustment schedule working in sales order line edit mod

Hi SND community,

I need your help in understand how to work with following scenario.

I have a customer who is using advance preferences to default price adjustment schedule other than adjustment schedule at header level while entering sales order lines. The functionality works fine in sales order add mode when sales order open in edit mode and user go to sales order header and override the price adjustment schedule at header level all the lines in details get same adjustment schedule as of header irrespective of advance preference exists for certain line.

Is this working as design or there are workaround or possibility to have advance preferences active even in edit mode of sales order?
