Siebel Cloning common Objects

Hi,

We are working on Call Center, Service request module where-in we have multiple processes[> 100] based on 'Service Request' business component. The flow of each process is different and there is suggestion is to create multiple copies of Service request BC to cater to each process. This is being contemplated to avoid cross-process issues due to change in common object [SR BC]. With this context, I would like to hear from community if someone has implemented this and to what extent? If you could also list down pros-cons of cloning common object, it would be very helpful.

Pros:

Any Issue would be confined to clone objects. Other process would remain intact.
