Non-Degree Courses Appearing as Duplicates on the AAR

Has anyone experienced  a students non-degree courses appearing on the AAR?  How are the non-degree to degree transitions being handled at other schools?

At BSU we copy the students non-degree courses over to their degree seeking career with the term that they became degree seeking.   The issue is that the same courses that the student took as a non-degree student in Spring 2014 are also appearing on the AAR for Fall 2015 when the student became degree seeking. Is there a set up in the AAR that could prevent the duplicate courses?
