Precision changes from 2 to 5

Hi,

In oracle projects, the rounding happens in each and every line items and so, when the final amount shows up in the invoice, there is a slight difference of few cents. This has caused issues with some of the customers. I tried changing the precison from 2 to 5 in GL and it seem to have worked.

I heard that changing of precision is not been supported by oracle. Is this true.

Can precision be change when there are transactions already entered and accounted. We want the precison to affect only the new transactions.

Is there any specific issues we need to look at while changing precision and is there a chance that it may impact old transactioins.
