upgrade from Ebs 11.5.10 to R12 instance and setup for Installed Parameter Form regarding

Hi All,

in 11.5.10 we have been using Installed Base, its fully implemented.

Now we plan to upgrade to R12, its a technical upgrade. not that we are moving to brand new R12 instance that need to reconfigure/ migrate the installed base data.

we have gone through the below Note: 884201.1.

Now my query w.r.t to this note is:

1> is it required "at all" to follow the step in the note w.r.t to the  setting up of profile "Service: Migration Organization for Employee Service Requests"??

since the note itself says:

In the case of upgrades, this setup is done by setting the profile option "Service: Migration Organization for Employee Service Requests".
