Error in JDE log when creating Report Interconnect with Version as a variable?

Hello -

In FDA Im creating a Report Interconnect(RI) to a custom UBE.  If I hardcode the version everything works as expected.  However if I set the version to a variable (eg: Processing Option or user variable) I get the following error in the JDE.LOG

Install Failed: Invalid object name - R5742521

When I run the application with the hardcoded version everything works fine.  If I run the application with the variable version, I get a web exception with the following error in the JAS.LOG

[RUNTIME] P59RFPM_W59RFPMB_RFS0001, at ER Line = 9, Executed System Function : null on null, Time : 0ms
