Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Splitting one item code to Two ( Recommendations)

Hi Everyone ,

For some reason (related to new taxes rules ) we are going to split some item codes , each one to two different codes for the same physical item.

I am going to use item relationship in inventory module , as Related or Substitute ..

I would like to hear any recommendations or considerations regarding implementing this scenario .

For you who are going to wonder why do we have to do this :

Imagine item X is used to manufacture two different products Y and Z ,

And according to our new taxes laws :

When purchasing item X to use it in manufacturing product
