Updated By system field is not getting refreshed automatically

Hi All,

I have a requirement where the system field Updated By needs to be updated by whoever the last person updated. I have checked the Force Active and Immediate Post Changes property for the field. I have created a join with S_USER table and mapped the field to "Login". I have also tried pre-defaulting "System: 'Creator'" for this field.

The issue that i am facing is that the last updated by is not getting refreshed automactically. I would need to run a blank query to refresh this record.
