Integration of a C3 dimension

We are currently working with only Custom 1 and Custom 2 dimension. For IFRS15 transition we thought about activating and using C3.

Our rules consultant is very skeptical about this idea. He says this is at least 3 months programming and testing and very risky since he has to change all rules. He suggests working with a new scenario for IFRS15 transition.

Do you have any experiences with integrating a C3 dimension in a running application? Is the Integration feasible or would you also suggest to find other solutions?
