Internal orders are created and booked but have no schedule date.

Internal orders are created and booked but have no schedule date.  when trying to enter a schedule date I get error No APS instance defined.  Set APS instance and run collections.  We are not running Advanced supply chain. How do I get a schedule date and progress the order?  This is an order shipping internally from one warehouse to another.  I have transfer from sourcing rules set up for the items.
