Can a Sales Agreement contain multiple sources for one customer?

My client has multiple partners (sources of inventory) for one customer.  They need to keep track of the balances each partner (and themselves) have supplied against the customer's order.  In E1: 38: Agreement Management (P38010 / P38020 / F38010 / F38011 / F38111) (Doc ID 625523.1) the Sales Agreement is described as "a glorified blanket order".  I need more detail about how this type of agreement works.  (I have used Exchange for Oil and Gas) but this client manufactures sugar...
