FR Studio-How can I choose a range of accounting periods without having each display in it's own col

I need to write a financial report that is Inception to Date from a specific starting point (Period 1-12) to the accounting period entered by the user.  This is to be used for grants that can span multiple years and have start/end dates that aren't on a fiscal year.

I used the range function on the accounting period with Period activity as the balance amount and PTD as the Amount type.   I chose 1-12 as the StartMember and Current POV as the EndMember.  I can get the report to pull the range but it puts each accounting period in it's own column without a total.
