If you go to Oracle 12c - Watch out for frjd8zfy2jfdq
If you go to Oracle 12c, be sure to watch out for SQL_ID: frjd8zfy2jfdq. There are plenty of articles on this, including one from BPeaslandDBA (I believe that's his article). During 2016 holiday (today), I was monitoring one particular system where the app team stated the performance was degrading. Other than extremely high version counts and parsing issues caused by multiple PDBs using similar SQL (which is another problem that is still trying to be figured out by the powers-that-be at Oracle), there was one query executing with SQL_ID: frjd8zfy2jfdq. The query looked like:
SELECT executions, end_of_fetch_count, elapsed_time/px_servers
