OEM Data Guard Transport Lag strange behaviour

Hi all,

Has anyone ever seen the Data Guard Transport Lag metric misreporting that the standby is thousands or millions of seconds behind but when we check with the DG broker on the primary and standby in question it reports there is no actual lag.

We are finding that we will get sporadic bursts of several of these alerts over a period of time with the reported lag increasing in each one and then the alerts stop but as as I've already mentioned we never actually see any lag reported when we check on the standby.
