Is it possible to change a 'Default rate type' in a Reporting Currency set up?

Is it possible to change a 'Default rate type' in a Reporting Currency set up?  When the new Reporting currency was added the wrong rate type was selected, and we need the set up to be changed to the Local currency translation rates.  The new RC does not have any transactions converted yet - all MRC options are set to no until resolved.  The field for Currency Translation Options does not have any option to change.  Please let me know if there is any way to update the set up.  Thanks in advance.
