Usage of customer account and customer site in AR

Hi,

I want to know the business usage of customer account and customer site definition.

In a situation we have single customer which belongs to two operating units exist, we have two options.

Option 1:

Create one customer account and create two different sites for operating units.

Option 2:

Create two customer accounts with single customer site attached to individual operating unit.

I have a doubt what method to use..
