Stop depreciation and extend the life of the asset in proportion to the time it was stopped.

Hi Guys,

I need to stop depreciation and extend the life of an assets based in proportion to the time it was stopped.

What is happening is that the value has not depreciated in 3 months, was included in the final period of depreciated life of the asset.

Under Brazilian law, the life should be prolonged by three months and the depreciation of each of the following month, would contain the value for each month that has not been depreciated.

We are using the depreciation method STL - Straight-Line and the literature on this method says that the value has not depreciated in the period the asset was not depreciate, it is included in the final period, as it occurred.
