Product Allocation (preference type 07) and complex customer groups

In the Enterprise One Sales Order Processing manual, it says that product allocation (preference type 07) is supported in Advanced Preferences, which allows complex customer groups.  However, I can find no reference to this in the system, and the document for this preference on line says it does not allow complex groups, but that document is dated.  I'm asking the community if they have any current (E1 9.2) information on this functionality
