What Accounting Entries Generated when Closing a Batch

Dear All,

We are using EBS R12.1.2; DB: 11.1.0.2.

We have many completed batches from beginning of year; until now we didn't close these batches;

We need to know:

1. What is the impact of closing batch (Accounting wise)?

2. What is the impact of we didn't close the batch.

3. What are generated accounting entries for closing?
