Seting up rman backups for ADG

Hi Guys

I'm trynig to set up rman backups on ADG environment I've been going thru different SRs notes and blogs and looks the first steps it's register the the standby db on this

Do I'm starting in wrong way? what I'm missing for me it makes sense cuz i want that the rman catalog for standby databases is working fine for another ADG backup settings just it's failing for me and i don't want to bother agina to my manager with this

My manager told me this it should be the first step,, please advice
